Zerodha is a good example of domestic wealth generation. Local founders. Local money. Local employees. Wealth generated goes to locals. Also finds ways back to other startups creating a multiplier effect.
A good share of wealth created by foreign funded startups ends up being captured outside India. Good outcome but for very few and reduced multiplier effect domestically.
If LPs of the VCs are also India domiciled, the multiple is even higher.
Another good example of domestic wealth creation is Zoho.
